what can I expect from laser skin resurfacing?
Medication may be given prior to the procedure to help minimize discomfort for greater relaxation during your appointment. If your complexion only needs mild improvement, a topical anesthetic may be used to numb treated areas of the face. For the whole complexion or more intense laser treatments, some form of light sedation may be necessary. During the procedure, you will relax in our special treatment chair while the laser handpiece passes over the skin, precisely targeting the specific areas for improvement. You may feel the warmth from the laser, followed by cold air from the built-in cooling system. The laser is designed to remove damaged and dead skin cells while promoting new collagen growth. I went to see Dr. Kang for dark spots on my face. I was very impressed with how easy it was to get an appointment scheduled. I found the office staff very accommodating and friendly and felt very comfortable there. Dr. Kang thoroughly explained the problem and treatment plans. She was quite pleasant and I have great respect for her. The laser treatments were extremely successful in removing the dark spots.
